With the nights drawing in there is nothing quite like a hot toddy to warm the soul and to stave off the winter chills. But we wanted to elevate this humble drink by pairing our botanical rum with a quality local honey, and a lemon-tea infusion, to further enhance its charismatic aroma and distinctive taste.

Penryn Spirits
Creator of BORA Botanical Rum, Penryn Spirits is a Cornish carbon-negative distillery on a mission to breathe new life into traditional spirits.
Launched in the summer of 2020, and with innovation and sustainability at its core, founders Pete and Willoughby wanted to harnesses the wealth in flavour offered by the botanicals on our Cornish doorstep and distil them into spirits that are simultaneously familiar and exotic.
We wanted to overturn conventions, upend the rule book, and challenge what people might expect from a spirit by mixing the wisdoms of one type with the tastes associated with another. We make a spirit like no other.
We distil sustainably using cutting edge technology and offset our emissions by planting trees across Cornwall, so every sip you take helps protect the landscapes that inspire us and nourish out drinks. We hope you have as much fun drinking them as we have had in making them.
BORA Botanical Rum
BORA Botanical Rum is the rum for gin lovers.
Named after the Cornish word for dawn, BORA represents a new direction for rum and it is the first expression of Penryn Spirit’s desire to distil differently, and to offer a spirit that is as memorable as it is alternative.

With the light amber hue of the Cornish dawn, BORA is distilled with nettle, quince, bay, and plum to create a subtle rum that is spicy and yet smooth.
